EMI Calculator not working? Here's how to fix it
Acting up? Most issues are quick fixes. Work through these in order.
1. The page won't load
Reload the page or open it in a fresh tab. If an extension blocks scripts, try private (incognito) mode — the calculator needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. The EMI looks too high or too low
Check your inputs. The calculator expects the annual interest rate as a percentage (e.g. 8.5), not a decimal (0.085) and not a monthly rate. Recheck the loan amount and tenure too, then redo the calculation.
3. The amortization table looks empty
Some browsers need a moment to build large year-by-year tables. Try shortening the tenure, reloading, or using a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
4. Numbers do not update
Refresh the page to reset the state. Often a stale tab or a lingering browser extension causes inputs to hitch; a clean reload usually fixes it.
5. The result does not match my bank's quote
Banks may round figures, add processing fees, or calculate on slightly different conventions. The calculator gives a standard estimate. Verify the final numbers against your loan offer document.
