Age Calculator: inputs and options

Since the Age Calculator has no file upload, the "formats" here describe the date inputs and output units you can use.

Input fields

FieldWhat to enterExample
Birth dateThe person's date of birth1990-05-14
Reference date (optional)The date to calculate age as of; defaults to today2026-08-28

Date entry options

  • Date picker — click to open a calendar and choose a day
  • Typed input — enter day, month, and year manually
  • Year range — any year from far in the past to the present is accepted

Reference date

By default the calculator uses today's date. Changing the reference date lets you compute age for a past date (records, applications) or verify a future milestone.

Output units

The same age is shown in multiple ways:

  • Years, months, and days
  • Weeks and days
  • Total days, hours, and minutes
  • Next birthday date with days remaining

Verdict

The Age Calculator takes two dates — birth and reference — and returns your age in every useful unit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I type the date instead of using the picker?

Yes. You can type the day, month, and year directly or use the calendar picker — both work.

What is the reference date for?

It lets you compute age as of any specific day instead of today, which is useful for records and applications.

What units does the result show?

Your age is shown in years, months, and days, as well as weeks, total days, hours, and minutes.
