Resume Maker not working? Here's how to fix it
Most issues with Resume Maker are small and fixable in seconds. Work through these in order.
1. The page won't load
Reload the page, or open it in a fresh tab. If a browser extension blocks scripts, try private (incognito) mode — Resume Maker needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. The live preview does not update
Make sure you are typing in the editing fields rather than the preview pane. If the preview lags on a very long resume, refresh the page (your work may be lost if you did not download it, so finish or save first).
3. The layout looks wrong or sections are missing
Check that you filled in the recommended fields for every section. If text appears cut off, it is usually because a field is left empty. Review each section and remove any blank placeholders.
4. The PDF prints with text cut off or pages break awkwardly
Open your browser's print settings and adjust the paper size, margins, or scale to fit. Choose the correct paper size (A4 or Letter) and disable any header/footer option that adds clutter.
5. The download does not work
Check your browser's download location and pop-up settings. Many browsers quietly block automatic downloads from new sites — check the downloads bar or browser history to confirm.
Still stuck?
Try a different current browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. The tool behaves identically everywhere, so a fresh environment usually resolves the last edge cases.
Verdict
Nine out of ten problems with Resume Maker are solved by a reload, checking your browser's download/print settings, or trying a private window.
