QR Gen not working? Here's how to fix it
Most issues are small and fixable in seconds. Work through these in order.
1. The tool won't load
Reload the page or open it in a fresh tab. If an extension blocks scripts, use private (incognito) mode — the tool needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. The code won't scan
Low contrast is the usual culprit. Use dark modules on a light background, avoid placing a dark image behind the code, and don't overcrowd it.
3. The code is too busy or cluttered
Too many colors or a large logo can break scanning. Reduce the design elements — plain, simple codes scan most reliably.
4. The text or link is wrong
A QR code is fixed once generated. Correct the text or URL and regenerate — there's no way to edit an existing code.
5. Nothing downloads
Check your browser's download location and pop-up/file settings. Many browsers quietly block automatic downloads from new sites.
Still stuck?
Try a different current browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Because the tool runs locally, a fresh environment usually resolves remaining edge cases.
Verdict
Most QR Gen problems are solved by a reload, higher contrast, simpler design, or a private window.
