Password Generator not working? Here's how to fix it
Most issues are small and fixable in seconds. Work through these in order.
1. The tool won't load
Reload the page or open it in a fresh tab. If an extension blocks scripts, use private (incognito) mode — the tool needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. Nothing generates
Make sure at least one character set is selected and the length is a valid number. If all sets are off or the length is zero, there's nothing to generate.
3. The passwords look too weak
Increase the length and include more character sets. Short passwords with one character type are far easier to guess.
4. My settings seem ignored
Confirm you pressed generate after changing the settings. Some tools refresh the result only on a new generate action.
5. Copy doesn't work
Some browsers need permission to access the clipboard. Copy manually, or check your browser's clipboard permissions.
Still stuck?
Try a different current browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Because the tool runs locally, a fresh environment usually resolves remaining edge cases.
