INR Converter not working? Here's how to fix it
Most issues with the INR Converter are small and fixable in seconds. Work through these in order.
1. The tool won't load
Reload the page, or open it in a fresh tab. If an extension blocks scripts, try private (incognito) mode — the converter needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. The converted amounts look wrong
Check that you entered the amount in Indian Rupees, not in a foreign currency. The tool converts FROM INR to other currencies. If you need the reverse, use the Currency Converter tool instead.
3. Lakh/crore formatting looks off
The Indian numbering system groups digits as 1,00,000 (lakh) and 1,00,00,000 (crore). If you expect Western grouping (1,000,000), the display may seem unfamiliar. The values are correct — only the formatting differs.
4. Rates appear stale
Exchange rates are fetched when you load the page. If your connection dropped briefly, the cached rates may be outdated. Reload the page to pull fresh data from the source.
5. A specific currency is missing
