CV Maker not working? Here's how to fix it
Most issues with CV Maker are small and fixable in seconds. Work through these in order.
1. The page won't load
Reload the page, or open it in a fresh tab. If a browser extension blocks scripts, try private (incognito) mode — CV Maker needs JavaScript, which is on by default in every modern browser.
2. The live preview does not update
Make sure you are typing in the edit fields rather than the preview pane. If the preview lags on a long academic CV, refresh the page — but download or finish your work first to avoid losing it.
3. Education details do not appear correctly
The education-first layout puts education at the top. Check that you filled in the degree, institution, and year fields for each entry, and remove any empty placeholder rows.
4. The PDF prints with text cut off or awkward page breaks
Open your browser's print settings and adjust the paper size, margins, and scale-to-fit option. Choose A4 or Letter and disable any header/footer clutter.
5. The PDF export does not work
Check your browser's download location and pop-up settings. If the print dialog does not open, refresh the page and try again.
Still stuck?
Try a different current browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. A fresh environment usually resolves the last edge cases.
Verdict
Nine out of ten problems with CV Maker are solved by a reload, checking your browser's print/download settings, or trying a private window.
